Jorte – Personal Organizer/Better Calendar #Android #Jorte
Posted by sherri @ 1:26 pm in Android Apps Google Misc..The Android OS is great for it's simplicity. Some features, though, due to their "simplicity", are lacking in features, and leave much to be desired. The native calendar app is one of these features. While it syncs beautifully with the Google calendar, there is not much else it does. No tasks, no "to do" lists, no way to make certain events "important", and no way to "check off" completed items. Luckily, I was told to try this app, and it certainly does all the things the native app "misses".
A little more information:
This software is a personal organizer application. We designed the application to be as close to a real personal organizer possible, and also to be attractive and practical. Not only the scheduler but also ToDo can be used.
It corresponds to the Google calendar and the widget.

Latest version: 1.1.23 (for all Android versions)
Try it and let us know what you think!

Verizon Announcement Coming Soon..
Posted by n99hockey @ 11:05 am in Android BlackBerry Google Nexus One Rumors.'Really' soon, according to a leaked flyer that made it's way in to BGR's hands.

If you are like me, Verizon and it's users (me included) has been giving you gray hairs daily with; rumors of new phones, and fake release dates, etc. It is becoming just to much to handle anymore.
Perhaps the game is nearing an end. What devices could they be?
HTC Incredible? Nexus One? Blackberry Bold 9650? Your guess is as good as mine, stay tuned to TSP for any updates!
Hang in there, this mess could be ending soon!

Next Android revamp already named “Froyo” #Android #Froyo
Posted by rudeboy @ 12:56 am in Android Google.Android 2 already has successor planned

Google confirmed that it already has a major update to Android 2.x in the pipeline tonight with word of its next codename. Android Senior Product Manager Erick Tseng in an interview told The Engadget Show that the next revision is nicknamed "Froyo," short for "frozen yogurt." The naming is in sync with past Android revisions' dessert themes, as 1.6 was nicknamed "Donut" and 2.0 was "Eclair."
What features are in store haven't been mentioned, but Google normally reserves these codenames for significant milestones and often makes them public only when they're within a few months of release. Version 2.0 added a much updated web browser, voice recognition and numerous other important new features, while even 2.1 adds animated backgrounds and other more noticeable changes. So far, updates have been spaced out in roughly half-year intervals.

Google Reader Mobile-Optimized WebApp Updated for iPhone #Google #Mobile #iPhone
Posted by rudeboy @ 11:26 pm in Google iPhone iPod Touch.
Google has updated Reader for mobile with a slew of snazzy features, according to the company's Google Reader blog. The interface is improved overall, and the laundry list of new features includes:
- Support for "liking", tagging, and sorting feeds by oldest and newest
- A More/Less feature to reduce clutter
- Updates to the header bringing it into line with the likes of Gmail and Calendar
- The addition of a new drop-down menu
- A new "Recommended Sources" section
If you haven't been to the mobile site for awhile because you've been using the likes of Scoop or Feeds, it's definitely worth a visit to check out the new enhancements as the new version is much more pleasant to use - which is a good thing, since we need to pop in from time to time to manage our feeds when we're away from the desktop.
